Kevin,
So glad I found this video due to Harry's comment. What a way to unwind at the end of the day listening to you sing and play while enjoying a cold beer. Pete St John who wrote this wonderful song now has a link with my home city of Hobart in that he has recently written an additional verse for the Fields of Athenry about the husband of a female convict sent here from Ireland. The distraught husband wrote a heartfelt letter to his love far away. The letter seems to have never reached her but still exists. There is now a search to see what became of both of them. Perhaps they finished up in the USA. Thanks again for the video.
