Comment by MARY SENECAL on August 18, 2009 at 7:29: I just emailed the city council of Nanaimo. I left L.A. because they are fining, licensing everything. I had to pay to park on the street in front of my own home. At the park there are meters costing $1.00 an hour. I had so many $30.00 tickets because I was enjoying myself at Starbucks and my dollar an hour meter was up. The greed there makes me ill. Simple everyday FREE pleasures do not exist there anymore. I am sorry to see it has spread to this town as well.
