Hi keith, I took some of the pictures. Some of them are really old. There is one of great grandfather standing on teh wharf he been dead long b4 I was born but it still nice to have them. I thought I'd share some of teh pictures with everyone as they tell what life use to be like in Newfoundland & how much it has changed even in the last generation. As for workers comp do go there they can be a real pain I was on there for a year with a broken ankle & they do some really strange things. LOL I hope all is well with you & you get everything fixed away. Hopefully I'll catch ya later in the chat room, C
Charlene, Hi, hope you know my comment was in good fun. Never been to Newfie. Actually I can hardly say I was to Nova Scotia, just to Amherst, a little town just over the NB boarder.
Lotsa people on tonight. Good to see people coming back to chat. Keith
Hey Keith...where did you go? I haven't seen or heard from you for so long. Isn't your computer working? Or are you buried under all the snow up there? Would love to hear from you....
Happy St. Patricks Day!!!
Carol
Hi...Keith Thanks for the comment. I haven't seen you for a long time either Keith... Aren't you on MSN any more? I haven't seen you there either. Keith I don't go on LI much any more. I don't like their new chat. Did they have their new chat going today? Hope to talk to you on MSN sometime Keith. Thats where you will find me...
Hugs,
Carol
History and ancestry are so interesting. I haven't seriously done mine yet, just knowing I have ancestors from every Celtic land is enough to make me realise that doing the tree will be a killer.
See, i told you you might wanna consider showing your cartoons to the public.
So many talented people all over the world who dotn show it, maybe you are one of them.
You have a great day too, take care ,talk soon
Mick, no, I am no relation to the Rankin singing group (have some of their CD's), although they are from the north too, Derry or Donegal. I found I had a distant relative in Michigan and he has been trying to chase down the ancestry too. Two of them, James and John, we speculate brothers, came over to Canada in 1830. John went to the US.Through all this, I go by my second name; James is my first name, like Jimmy Rankin, the singer, and the guy in the States is also James.
Big thanks for the note.
Have a good day,
Keith
Family history for me too Keith, any connection with the Rankins (Group)from Nova Scotia? It is a frustrating hobby but the rewards can be great. My sister lives just down the road from you in Peterborough.
Best wishes, Mick
Linda, hi. It was good talking to you last night. Everybodie's brains seem to work on this site. There doesn't seem to be the bad side that there is on some chat. Geneology is a lot of frustrating work.My g-g-grandparents cottage is still being lived in - but I don't know what county he came from.
Hi Keith...how are u and that toy doing? Are u figuring it all out? You said you are under stress....I hope its not from the computer. Are you still looking for a job? Take care...Catch me sometime on msn.
Hugs,
Carol
Hey Keith...the toy you are using isn't that bad. Just talk to it nicely and it will respond...lol There is always a red x on your own comment or message u leave here. Don't let it excite you. Have much fun with your toy....it will keep you busy...lol
Hugs,
I still do not know how to use this thing. Right now STRESS is the very last thing I need. And with computer toys, "all you have to do is this" --- or that or maybe this and that ---or is it that and this or a few other billion choices? WHY is there a red "x" in the corner? What does that do?
