She's 8! That's great. I was 8 too when I joined my corps. My girlfriend's little brother is 10 years now, and he has joined too, turns out he's talented. :)
But he's also joined one of the local football (you call it soccer) teams too, so I'm pushing him and the corps directors to enter the real corps with a pair of cymbals, and hope he'll quit the football within a few years :)
Haven't Tuesday Blue. Do they have the same sound as The Clash? I have a bunch of stuff that The Clash guys did after. Strummer did a lot; even played with the Pogues for a stint. Paul Simonon had "Havana 3 AM". I wasn't to big on Mick Jones' stuff.
A double kick? Is your daughter a heavy metal drumster? Or is it just a series by Mapex?
I've never been to a Zildjian festival, didn't know they exist. But I do agree that Zildjian is in the top 3 of best cymbal producers. like Paiste.
I don't really have a list of fav. drummers. I can mention some bands that have a great drummer though, for example the Tower of Power. but they choose new musicians every few years. And for the drumline stuff, there are some corps that are reknown for their advanced drumlines (although that varies per year), like the Santa Clare Vanguard, Blue Devils and Phantom Regiment.
Dear Ms. HDSQ,
I took a chance in sending you this bit of irreverent poetry. I figured if you were raised on gospel and bluegrass music that you had some very good common sense. Glad you liked it. There is more where that came from. Even thought about doing a blog! That's what we all need - a bit of humor to lighten up the socialist media world.

Ok so Louisvilles Irish Fest needs more excitement there. Is there many singers that come there from Ireland.? St Paul here in MN is pretty good but could have more things too. But the concerts are good. My grand kids are...going to have all birthdays in March. They are a grandson will be 20, a granddaughter will be 21 and another granddaughter that will be 23. The 23 yr old is graduated from 4 yrs of college and she is a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital in Louisville.
Thanks for the comments...Hugs....

Dear Ms. HemiDemiSemiQuaver,
When first looked at your web name, thought it vas deutsch, ach du lieber! But since I do genelogical extraction once a week, I remembered that there are a lot of German ancestral people in KY. Never been to "rural" Ky.but most of it is rural, isn't it? Pray tell, what is infused music? Not familiar with that branch of the music field. Thanks for the contact, Regards, Hal Wright

Global Warming
The lowly cockroach does his thing,
He does not smile nor does he sing,
But, however he does pass,
Affecting climate with his gas.
Now thirty years ago t'was said,
Cold climate change would make us dead.
Now that forgotten, we are hot-
The cockroach is the one forgot!
His C O 2 gas works so well,
It out performs all fac'try smell.
The cockroach is so great,
They all perform, and none are late.
The lowly roach survived the cold,
Lived right through hot times of old.
Spread effluence through all ages;
So much for global warming "sages"!
Cheers to all,
Hal
