Here's one for ya: after taking 1st place in my age division in, yep, step dancing, AFTER the show, sans, big wig and my real costume. My Mama put me in a leotard with me ribbon and crown, but she always made me take my costume off bc I never failed to spill something on it, after she had sewed for about 6 mos. with all that detail and handwork, so I can't blame her. I only had lads for cousins so was a bit of a tomboy, and didn't hit my "girly-girl" stage until I was about 13. But she always managed to get a pic at a decent moment anyway, bless her heart. Have another laugh, on me: (excuse the messy pic, it was taken out of my album by my son after my house burned down with everything in it - but he managed somehow to save some of my pics, thank the Lord, and this was the best he could do, but I'm just glad to still have it at all.) Yes, you can still laugh, please DO!
Hahahaaa....the skates were a whole lot easier to move about in than those darn heavy steppin' shoes, that's for sure, lol! I think I drove my poor Mama nuts with all the noise, too, so she put those skates on my feet. Many thanks for the welcome, and, for making me laugh. I can always use one of those:)
Play? ... Somewhere else I'm afraid! there is isn't a decent club in Dillon, so you go to Bozeman or Missoula for the weekend! Or, you wander down to Idaho way!!! Right now, I just like the quietness the town has to offer! So, I'm reveling in the quietness of winter, and trying to get some writing down before spring!
yes--the snow will now be here for a long while-we are used to it-so snow men, snow ball fights, snow forts are in--as is skiing and snow shoeing--and of course the cozy fire and Irish trad sessions as well(:
