Hi River. from some of your pics ,it looks like you go to the Fairy World festival. I have gone to that also. I am a Celtic fiddler over in Florence. I play at the Restobar in Old town on Sunday evenings and up in Eugen with bands now and then.
It was great to hear from you River, life is really exciting for me right now. I haven't had time for LI or the computer in general lately. I am counting my blessings and spending a lot of time in prayer. It's been Awesome.
River, how was your Lisa Gerrad CD, you never did tell me. You put capercaillie on your music. I used to have two of their cd's but Ace kiddnapped them and they were never seen again. My favorite song of theirs is Beautiful Wasteland. I love that who breath singing thing they do, it was traditional yet incredibly modern. :)
Geese, sounds like you and I are in the same boat when it comes to instrumentation. All of my family, brother Sister, mom all have recorded CD's promarily in the Bluegrass and Roots music fields... me, I was the proverbial dud. Never really becoming definatively experienced on any one instrument. Maybe we should just go into the music production side of the industry..LOL:)
Didn't she do some work on the Gladiator movie? I think I remember her from the soundtrack credits. Sort of a world/pan celtic infusion. I can't say that I've heard a lot of her. But let me know your thoughts when you've had a chance to listen to the Cd's. River, I can't help but say that you remind me of a girl I toured a couple of days with in the Summer of '94 Ireland named Larken, but I think she was from Calif.

Stark- to me means your featres look powerful. It's a great pic!! The name is a musical reference to a 1/64th note (quaver being cokney for quarter note). It's probably geeky, but indicative of my life and music. :)

Hi River!
Thanks for the friend invite!! "Cooper" is doing well, she's at the local wildlife center getting meds and rest. They said she ate a mouse and 1/2 chick yesterday so that should prove she's feeling better. She'll be there till at least Monday so I'll check back then. I asked if they'd make sure they release her back here.. I'll keep you posted on "our" bird! LOL!!
Hi River..!
Thanks for the good words..!
I hope you and your close ones are having a great day... ;-)
Musically speaking, the large majority of the dropped names in the list belongs to either Folk or World category.. Feel free to explore or ask for details if needed... I love music, as you probably do too... ;-)
Take care!
