Likewise Donna. I like to sing and have just started song-writing but my skills on the guitar are fairly limited. Daideo and the Blue Mosquitoes rehearse at our house every Tuesday. The band members are my son, Chis, his cousins, Hannah and Stuart and a friend named Moire who they met in a pub (Don't worry the kids were there with us for an Irish music session but audiences always like it when they talk about meeting at a pub). They are also writing their own music at the moment and I have written a couple of songs with Chris. It is good to have a shared interest with a teenage son.Delete Comment

It is amazing and one the most moving experiences of my life.
I brought home small stones from the wall outside the cottage for all my family to each be able to touch something. My cousin who lives there thinks we're nuts.

thats wonderful Donna.. I hope you have some opportunities to sit on some seissions where you live.. its certainly the best way to learn the music..
OR.. you could tune in to the Trad station on Live Ireland and Play along.. they cant hear the learning bumps!!!
