I rented a Netflix movie recently that you might find interesting: "Veronica Guerin" with Cate Blanchette, about the enormous drug problem in Ireland in the mid 1990s. Guerin was a well-known reporter who investigated the drug trade and was murdered by the syndicate. Her death galvanized the people to do something about the 15,000 a day who were on the methadone program...some as young as 15. Within a week of her murder Parliament passed a law allowing the confiscation of the assets of those suspected of profiting from the drug trade.

So GLAD you liked "Micheal Collins!" I knew you would! I've missed talking with you. Tanks for the New Year wishes. I missed being able to tell you "Nollaig Shona Duit" at Christmas time, but I'll say it now. Don't you just love gaellic? :-) It looks nothing like it sounds!

Work keeps me from hanging out on liveireland, which I hate! But maybe I can make a change in the new year.
