The festival is always the weekend before Halloween. This year it is Oct 20-23, 2011. You can be kept abreast on our website at: www.galwaybayirishpub.com
Right now it just shows last years stuff. It will be more current for this year in about another month
Sceallog, Sorry for the long time to respond, but I never even knew this site had this feature. I'm old school, don't blog much. But yes, I have an Irish pub in Ocean Shores, WA called "Galway Bay". Your son may know the place. It is a 2 hr drive from Seattle right on the coast. We hold the largest Irish music festival on the west coast here every October. I am originally a midwest boy, Peoria, Illinois, but have been out here for over 30 years now.
I love traditional Irish music, and dance. And I love the Irish accent! I hope to visit Ireland and Scotland someday--after retirement, perhaps. My husband is of Acadian and Scottish descent. I am of Acadian, French and German descent, but have some Irish and Scottish ancestry--just a little, though. I see you live in Washington state. Are you from there originally? My older son works out of Seattle. He works as a Marine Auditor and flys out there from Louisiana every 45 days!

Thank you Sceallog. Helena is nice, a great place to work and play. I am a farm girl from Conrad MT so Helena is a big city to me! Yes my car is a Fiat Spider, the color is wild iris. I worked hard on it. Haven't gotten around to the interior. We put a 5 speed in it last summer..
Thank you for the note about St. Patrick's Day happenings. As for me, I had a party at my house. I invited all of my handspinner and knitting friends over for a day full of good cheer and lots of spinning and knitting. My house was full. There was lots of good food an the colore green. The party also doubled for my birthday party as I was fortunate enough to be born on such a wonderful day. When I attended Catholic School I even got the day off!
Thank you for the Radio stations. I will try to get in touch with them for sure.
When I was at the Seattle Center's Irish Fest I bought some good CD's of the Bothy Band, Patrick Street and Planxty. Ian, the man who ownes the CD shop gave me one of his CD's called Empty Trough. He is a piper and a good one at that! I always look forward to putting new music in to my shows. I'm a traditionalist at heart when it comes to music but I do include newer bands too. If you ever want to see the radio show that I do my program for just google KSVL92@yahoo.com. This will bring you to the home page. If you do this soon you just may see me with St. Patrick on the front page. The phone was taken by my husband Jeff ant the Irish Fest. You can also klick on The Celtic Music Hour and navigate over to the little radio on the right and sample a show of mine. This sight also includes some pictures ralating to our farm. Please let me know if you find any of this interesting. I would like to talk to other members about traditional Irish music but I still am having a hard time getting on any of the chats. Not too savvy here.

Thansk by hospitality... And of course that I'll love Ireland. If possible, I'll listen the DJ.
Have a good weekend

Great bookl I just finished.
Bheul, tá sé go maith, cineál...
Go raibh maith 'ad as do fháilte.
Now if I can just figure out why, ever since I edited my settings, the accent on my name is screwed up.
Your name and other's seem to be fine, but I am now "Séamas Choilm Chille."
