Glad you are enjoying the site. I joined about two months ago. I haven't been to Ireland yet but my eldest son plays Irish music in a band called Daideo and the Blue Mosquitoes. They are all young and some will be taking a gap year in 2011 before university partly to play some of their music in Ireland. We are hoping to join them for part of the time.

Welcome to Live Ireland. Like you my wife grew up listening to the Dubliners and our kids have done also. When my middle son was aged two his favourite song to sing was Dirty Old Town. It used to make everyone smile to hear a small child singing about where he met his love. I also love your other choices of music. I have some Irish and Scottish in me as well as a large helping of Cornish celtic blood
