Greetings! Most flattered to hear from such a talented individual! Steering to your site to try to catch some of your tunes. Be sure to let me know when you do the concert tour of Oklahoma (THINK POSITIVE AND YOUR DREAMS WILL COME TRUE!).
Hi Rebecca;
Yes I play Irish music / Newfoundland traditional and I love it. I also love folk / bluegrass. I am not Irish and don't even have any roots but it is such a part of our Newfoundland culture as a lot of immigrants in the past came to us from Ireland and a lot of people have roots there. I am actuallly descedant from French / Mi'maq and English.
It's really nice to open someone's page and hear music.
I will have to try and add some to my page.

Hi Rebecca, Not so long ago I converted some old vinyl (records) to digital format, for my mother. Ella Fritgerald was one of two artist I just couldn't get to convert well, the other Chris Connor. I think it was because of the harmonic fullness, volume and range of their voice vs. the lower resolution of the analog to digital software I was using.
Hi Rebecca. Thanks. I text & e-mailed my son Marcus in England about you. He is a classical pianist, composer & arranger of classical & musicals, teaches voice, sings tenor & conducts & has arranged music for people on their Cd's. He also worked with a blues band. The only thing that he doesn't do is contact me very often! lol. He works for a theatre company & also freelance. He has done work for Flying Sparks Recording Studio's. He is married to his music. I told him that you were really good & to listen to you. If he doesn't...Then he is missing something very special! Anyway, thanks for adding me as a friend & the contact. Keep belting the songs out! Regards. Pete.
Hi Rebecca. If you see me with Rachel on here, I forgot to say that she could pat me on the head as she is a lot taller than me.lol.
I will try & put the word out round here to listen to your tracks..
Incidentally Ken Haddock is very well known & he sings on his own in Wolsleys & with Rachel in Jenny Watts in Bangor. He has had a gig called "Ken Haddocks Sunday Supper Club" at The Empire in Belfast. That is some gig because he joins up with some other guys & it's brilliant. Led Zepplin to Paul Weller, Blues the whole heap. On the rare times that I can go it's packed with students & old me. lol. Please look up Ken & Rachel on Myspace. Regards Pete.
Hi Rebecca. Many thanks for your reply. You deserve great comments because you have an amazing voice. I hope the gigs keep coming to you & that they get bigger. With a voice like yours, more people should be hearing & enjoying it. Up here in Bangor I have a friend called Rachel. I used to take her to school on the bus that I was driving & she & I used to chat about music. She has been in various bands & on her own. She sings with another friend Ken Haddock, She is 21 now & does gigs around here. I have a video that I took of her at Pickie, Bangor. She was booked to sing fthere for the summer at various times by the council. The video & sound is not too good as there was a generator in the background & I had to cut quality to get it on Myspace. Have a wee look when you get the chance, please. Your version of HURT is going on in the background whilst I am writing this & the hair on my arms is standing up on end with the emotion that you are putting in to the track. It's BRILLIANT!!!! Regards. Pete.
Hi Rebecca. Many thanks for the friend request. Yes you can add me as a friend, no problem. I went to your website first & I listened to you singing. You say that you want to try & make it as a singer? With your voice...there should be no problem, you've got the talent allright. Good luck & I hope that you make it. I will look for you on Myspace & maybe you would add me as friend on there. Just to keep everything above board, I am 59 & married. I can see that you are 18 years old. I am still listening to your voice & it is great you are singing one of my favourite songs "Hurt" by Christina Aguilera & it is a very difficult to sing to get the passion & feeling through it. Rebecca you have certainly done it justice. Anyone with a good voice may be able to sing it ok but to sing it properly you have to sing it with passion & feeling because of the lyrics. Well you made it your own with great passion & feeling. Loved it. Brilliant. Kind Regards. Pete.
