Hi Susan--
If you are looking for great festivals in Ireland, try ot look on the tourist page for updates. Cork Film Festival, as well as Galway Art and Music Festival are two well attended and really fun festivals in the West/Souhthwest of Ireland. Not sure if this site will help, but check out:

Hi Susan. A terrific festival that's easily within your reach is the Dublin (Ohio) Irish Festival. Dublin is a suburb of Columbus, OH. Jump on I-71 and c'mon up. The festival is August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Great music, Irish dance, food, and many Irish cultural exhibits. It's the 2nd largest Irish Festival. 95,000 in attendance last year. Check the festival website at www.dublinirishfestival.org. If you decide to come, get your hotel reservations ASAP. In conjunction with the festival we also have the Columbus Feis that weekend and some 1400 Irish dancers will be competing.
Hmm, how did I miss you? I always do a scan on new members to see if there are any musicians. Not only did I miss one, but a keyboard player too! I've been playing the keys since I was five, and I'm the piano player for my church. You should check out my group 'General Musician Chat', and see if you like it. Do you write your own stuff? I'm in the process of filling up a CD with the songs I've written. Message me back , I'd like to talk if you have time...
Thanks for the heads up- I'll check it out. I am enjoying your music list off your page- good music- always interesting and fun to hear what other people treasure.
Hello Susan! Nice to have you as a member. My wife and I plan to travel to Ireland in 2010 and we plan to take in the Ballyshannon Folk Festival in early August. I hear it's one of the best. Do a search and you'll find their web site.
