Nothing wrong with being focused on school!! In fact, I'm glad to hear it (sorry, the Mom in me is showing through LOL!!). Anyway, I'm on an unexpected "vacation" while we wait to "restock" the stable with babies. I'm at my sister's in NY which is nice because it puts me close to my son and daughter-in-law and I'm also in the same area where I grew up. Saw my brother the other day which was nice. Hope I don't have to wait too long to get back to work. We should be back at the farm in NJ then back to Florida around the time the grandkid is due. Told my daughter-in-law she can pop that baby out any time she wants, the sooner the better. LOL!! We're having BEAUTIFUL weather right now, makes being out of work ok LOL!! Take care and stop in the chat room after you've done your homework!! LOL!!!

Hey Kat,
I'm back living a civilized life with my computer!! LOL!! I'm now in the NY/NJ area with the horses till late July/early August. Just got wonderful news, I'M GONNA BE A GRANDMA!!!!!! My son and daughter-in-law just informed me they're pregnant and due Nov. 11th. Can't wait!!!
What's going on with you? Are exams over and do you have time to visit the chat room again? Hope so.. drop me a line when you get a chance... HUGS!!!

Hey Kat... the China trip was wonderful!!! Thanks to my thermals, a borrowed coat from my daughter-in-law in NYC and boots from my Chinese daughter-in-law I stayed toasty warm even though it was frickin freezing!!! I tried using my own boots on a "warmer" day... big mistake!! LOL!!
I'm back working with the horses full time (worked at a small animal clinic for 9 months) and living at the farm. Didn't get my old room back and I don't have a phone jack in my current room so I can't use my computer. Have to go to the public library to get my emails and can't access My Live Ireland which totally sucks. I visit my Mom on Sundays and bring my laptop with me to catch up on correspondences. I'll be heading up north by the end of the month and will be able to use my own computer then... can't wait!!
Hope the exams are going well.. I'm only in the chat room on Sundays till I get to NY. We'll catch up with one another eventually!!

Oops, just reread what I wrote you. (Should have done that BEFORE I sent it, LOL!!). I'm heading first to NYC to visit my younger son and his wife then I'm off to China to see my older son and his wife. When I return to the US, I'll spend another few days in NYC before heading back home.

Hey Kat,

So I'm off to China on Monday. I leave Fl. tomorrow night, spend a day there with my younger son and his wife then its off to Harbin. I'm hoping I'll be able to stand the cold and visit the Ice Festival there. I'm also hoping my camera doesn't freeze so I can add some nice pictures to my page. LOL!!

My Mom watching that show, Bones. Don't you think that lady is just a wee bit too intense? LOL!!!

Hi Kat, I saw the pictures of Ayr in Wikipedia, it's realy beautiful, I love small cities. I think is better to live, and the peoples are more receptive. Cabo Frio, where I live, has only 130.000 hab, but in the summer come to here almost 1 million persons. Ufa!!!
And in Ayr?
Bye bye.

Hey Kat, hope all is going well for you. Things have been fine on this continent LOL!!

Politics have one huge fault, they're so political!!! What's our buddy want the supermarkets to use, canvass sacks? Its something I think is a good idea but in this country too many people don't want to be bothered to remember to bring their grocery sacks with them. Too many lazy people in this world, sad... Well, I support our Midnight Oil friend and wish him luck.

I'm headed to your side of the world next month. My sons are springing for a trip to China to visit my oldest son. Can't wait but its so cold over there, I'm gonna freeze!!! I'm use to the weather you've been having nice and warm!! Wish me luck LOL!!

Hi Kat..!
Have you ever heard about a pub named :
"Joe's water hole" ...?
Could be a long day drive from where you are, but considering the groups performing there, I think you should put it into your favorites...! lol
Ask around (Alan...!) for more details about it! ;-)
I hope you're doing well... and will be back into the chatroom soon..! In the meantime, well... take care and enjoy..!!!

Hello Kat.It`s nice to know that you`re around.Just up the road from here, about 1000km! I`m near the Sunshine Coast.
There are lots of nice people on LI but you`ll find out ,There`s a lot of things many of them are unfamiliar
with about Australia. Cheers.

Yes, I had hear that the lead singer from Midnight Oil had gotten into politics. I've never been too political myself but do watch "from a distance". I'm also skeptical of celebrities who get involved with it, wonder how they react when they're on the inside. Please keep me posted on how he does especially with his environmental and aborigional concerns.

Great meeting you last night Kat. Hope to see you back in the chat room again soon. Teenagers are never boring or useless, I raised 2 of my own and am proud to say they resulted into respectable adults LOL!!
What do you think of the group Midnight Oil, an Aussie group from the '80's. Do you even know who they are? I loved them, great politically minded songs.
