I'll have to take a look at your questions. What part of Philly are you from? I grew up in Germantown until I was 11 and then we moved to Roslyn/Willow Grove area. I still have in-laws and 2 brothers, one sister and a ton of HS buddies in Philly. In fact, I'll be doing a one day tour of Flourtown to see my in-laws at a rest home this weekend. I have many, many fond memoriesd of Philly - I even lived in center city and the oak lane sections for a time as a young guy. JMD
Shawn, I wasn't trying to trivia-jack you, certainly not one former Philly boy to a current one. Since I don't play and many people continue to pay me NOT to sing, I haven't checked out your group yet. JMD
Hi Shown. Thank you!.. Yes, I have a small recording studio in home, I (and my X) do recondings, mixing and mastering. The first song was recorded and mixed really fast.. maybe in 8 hours. I tryied to record fast to give a CD with this songs to Circle II Circle guys here after a concert. (I did).
Hi. I'm interested in folk music in general. So I play our Ukrainian flute "Sopilka" (chromatic scale flute), harmonica and guitar of course. Yet I'm not a professional in anything, but I enjoy jamming and kind of folk jams we do sometimes.

Hello Shawn, good to find a fellow gamer :) Alas I haven't played much musically in awhile but I, like just about everyone, was in a rock band in high school. I still dig the guitar out once in awhile, but it's nothing professional. Learning tinwhistle on the side for fun though. It's a lot easier to drag around an Irish festival ;)
Hey Shawn,
Yes, I played in a Rock band about 25 years ago. I learned how to play drums by listening and attempting to copy Neil Pert of Rush. It took a long time. I play strictly by ear, hear it, play it, teach it!
hey thanks for your comment ^^
well...I need more time to write more about my fav. music ^^
maybe you can read more in a few days :P
(ehm...I know that my english is horrible xD)
greez :]
Shawn, I have played the flute when I was 10 years old and still play. Also I sing and have been involved in a few choirs, sung quite a few solos and sing at weddings. I've learned to play the piano, guitar, oboe, saxaphone and tin whistle. I did get hold of a gorgeous cherry wood Irish flute that has proven to be a challenge for me to play. My fingers are small and it's hard to stretch to the holes let alone cover them up. Where there's a will there's a way though. Keep up the good work with your music! You're young and have years ahead of you to learn and grow. Music is a universal language and everyone understands. :)
sorry shawn, only just noticed comment, well I play tin whistle both low and high types, Bodhran, great highland bagpipes, small pipes, and i have started to learn the uilliann pipes, I can rattle out a beat on the bones and spoons.
