Funny how your family added the O in O'Day in America and mine already was O'Day from Ireland and took away the O. It's my understanding at that time many Irish took off the O and Mc to seem more american. The area we live in , in Tenn. has alot of Irish hertiage. You may already know this. Va., Ohio, N.C. and Tenn. is were about 80 % ended up living once they settled down. I know Boston has alot also.
Thanks for the info.... if I find a connect I will let lyou know, or if yoiu do. Meanwhile keep in touch... you can never have too many friends.

You said that they changed your family name from Day to O'Day at Ellis Island. Did you mean O'Day to Day ? Our was O'Day from Ireland, then the O' was dropped in America and changed to plan Day.

What was James O'Day's wife name ? Do you know if your dad had a brother named John Harvey Day ? John "Harvey" was my grandfather. Our family has a way of naming thier children after other family members so either way it still could be a lead. Thanks for telling me. Get back with me of that ,will you ?

O'Day!!!!

Didn't do anything on St.Pat's except eat corned beef and cabbage. Then I watched the Frank McCourt program on pubs in Dublin.

How's your dad?

Gimme a call.

Played Friday and Saturday at Lakeview, OR Irish days festival, Saturday night across the border in Dorris CA, and then back up 200 miles to play 4 gigs on the night itself. I'm taking a break!

O'Day, how are ya? Yeah, I had a grand time over the weekend. Played lots of traditional Irish music, but I didn't do any jigs myself! How about you? What goes on in St. Louis on Paddy's Day?

That was the latest picture available through the Witness Protection Program. I've always thought that my silhouette was rather masculine though.

Hello! You're right, Washington is a beautiful state. I'm glad you like my music collection. I try to add to it whenever I can. Click on the - Launch Standalone button and it will come up in another tab or window. That way you can listen while you visit other pages.
Thanks for the friend add!
