very cool,
If you get to, drop me a line perhaps I could also make it.
if I don't have to work. Have been working 6 nights a week for a very long time.... no fun.
But perhaps I could beg borrow or steal my way out of work that day.
Hope all is going well with you.
been very busy my self, with the book coming out and all.
Hey there, No I haven't seen the timejumpers as of yet. I know it has been awhile since last we wrote, but have I been a busy boy. But they are still on my list of groups to go see.
sounds like you are having fun. The work shop sounds great. What is Megan Lynch's weekend? Something else I probably should know living here in nashvagas, but simply do not. I have not had the fun of playing a session in a number of years. Use to play at a place called Sherlock Holmes' Pub every other week. But that stopped when the pub shut down.
hope all is going well with you. until next our electrons do cross,
Nope, not yet. The first show on their calander is not until feb. I think. But I am looking forward to hearing them play. I look forward to being able to talk to you about their sound as soon as I do.
Hope life is treating you well. Are you able to play out anywhere on a semi regular basis? Well, it's been a long day, so I'll sign off for now. Have a great day. Charles
Thank you. After Christmas when things slow down a little I'll check them out. Thanks, again. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing them. I love learning about new sources of great music.
hi Carrie Ann...
I hope you've been making yourself a good day even though funerals were on the schedule... Never easy...
I've been impressed few times by live performers... and of course Martin Hayes is one of them... as well as Tommy Peoples and Liz Carroll..! ;-)
hello Carrie Ann..!
I hope you will enjoy the MobyD's links as much as I did..!
Once, before a concert, I was in a bathtroom having a pee aside a curly haired man.... And when we both got out the washroom... a good friend of mine introduced me to him, Martin Hayes... so we both shooked hand.... and 2 minutes after, there he was... alone... giving us one of the best live concert I've been lucky enough to attend..!!! ;-)
I'm not to mention the Tommy Peoples's one...!
Oh... while I'm in... the recording of Bill Malley's call Barndance... sounds ok from the beginning up until the 19th seconds... maybe could you try to delete and uploaded it again..? I don't know.... If you need assistance, do not hesitate to get in touch with Daithi... he's the webmaster in here and friendly guy...
I'm just saying that because considering the quality of Martin Hayes's' playing, it would be nice to hear it clean..!
Oh... I'm just listening to your *Belle Catherine*.... I looked it up and saw that André Brunet is playing the fiddle on that tune... ;-) André used to play fiddle in the Bottine Souriante a couple of years ago...
Great fiddler..! ;-)
hi again..!
Maybe you've got the chance to watch a really well made documentary about Mr. Cahill and Mr. Hayes... If not, visit MobyD's page ( http://my.liveireland.com/profile/MobyD ) and browse into his videos... There you will find *From Clare to here* part 1 to 5... ;-)

I see you know about the Québec repertoire... Do you also play Québécois tunes..? Many United Staters do... which I think is great..! ;-)
I do play a bit of both Québecois and Irish repertoire... but lots of work ahead..! ;-) Fun I should say..!!! ha! ha! ha!
Just curious here : Which band is playing *La Belle Catherine*, Le Step à Ti-Phonse et André à Toto...? This recording is coming from a live show... First time I hear that version... nice groove..! Are you playing the fiddle on that take..?
Anyhow... Thanks for sharing..!
wwm
P.s. If you go on the e-juke box in the *just fiddling group*, you will see a tune named *La cardeuse*... Well... That tune comes from Mr. Boudreault, Louis *Pitou*... the same person that shared *La belle Catherine* back in the late 70's, I guess... Maybe you've already seen that great video... if not, I'm sure you will like it...! Well... I hope..! ;-)

Enjoy..!
p.s. (2) The *reels en sol* comes from Mr. Perreault, another Québécois fiddler... who worked with my dad...years ago...! Such a small world..! ;-)
Thank you for your note. No I have not seen the TimeJumpers. I'm afraid I have not even heard of them. Do they have a website I could visit? I would like to learn more about them.
Hope you are having a great holiday season.
Hi Carrie Ann..!
Great to meet with another fiddler...! Welcome in..!
And feel free to visit and even contribute to the *just fiddling around* group...! Would be great to hear fiddling from the West Coast..! ;-)
Best,
wwm
