I took my mom to Ireland a year or so after my dad died. She loved it. The one thing that drove me batty is that she mentioned to me, late one day, that she saw a man who looked so much like her father it was frightening.
I don't know how well the locals respond to tourists coming up and saying you look exactly like so-and-so, but I would have if she had pointed him out at the time.
If any of you native born Irish could advise me, would an approach to a stranger like that be proper or welcome?
