It's Bob, not Luke, but that aside, I served army enlisted from 1951 to 1958, then OCS. Commissioned as 2 Lt. Rifle Platoon Leader and served as that for 1 year then converted to Combat Engr. and stayed there until retirement in 1972. Wanted to fly, but they said my eyes weren't good enough. Love those old airplanes. Someday you should pay a visit to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. Quite a place with everything from a Wright Flyer up.
:) Welcome to the group! I can tell from your profile that you have quite a large range of musical knowledge, not to mention amazing taste. It's sad, I can't hear the music on your page since I'm on a school computer and nothing really loads all the way. Do you write and record your own tunes? Gotta go before I get in trouble, well nice talking to you, looking forward to talking in the group! Cya.
Thanks Jenny, I totally enjoyed your pictures too. My Mom and I drove from South Florida to Elko, Nv last May to visit my oldest sister. There's no denying this is a beautiful country and so diverse. Northeast Utah and parts of Tenn were my favorites, absolutely gorgeous.
Nice chatting with you tonight.. hope to see you in there again soon.
