Rifle Platoon Leader and served as that for 1 year then converted to Combat Engr. and stayed there until retirement in 1972. Wanted to fly, but they said my eyes weren't good enough. Love those old airplanes. Someday you should pay a visit to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. Quite a place with everything from a Wright Flyer up.
