Dear Friends far away,
Whether or not 1, all, or none of us are observing holidays at this season, there is no denying that curious things happen at this time of year that give us pause to consider. Things of a spiritual nature and of goodness and kindness and that we may share with others with joy
Despite my eyesight leaving me, I see these things more clearly now than before and that there is certain hope and assurance for the future in spite of the badness and violence of those less civilized in various places.
The words of Isaiah chap 55, vs. 11 come to my mind although the whole chapter only takes 2.5 min to read and I wanted to call your attention to it as well in this season. There is an upside to everything in the world around us and I wish all of our Friends in far flung places many happy returns of the season from all of us here in Butler, New Jersey of the USA.

Hi there Friend,
If you think it a good idea to mention, it's 43 days 'till Paddy's Day. I like to keep good track of party days, you know.
I'm guessing that you already know all about the Superbowl football game that is to happen on Sunday, right? But do you know about the Superbowl parties that we like to invite each other to in our homes on that day?
These parties are very impromptu affairs where we usually have lots of beer, pizza, and other great snackies & such along with lots of what I think you folks call "crack" which I think is much more healthy and fun than what we call crack here, right?
I have no favorites in the game this time around since my favorite team the Green Bay Packers, were defeated by the Giants almost 2 weeks ago. The Giants will now contend with the New England Patriots now as a result instead of the Packers but the party that I've been invited to promises to be a good one and I'm bringing at least some of the beer which is imported from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It's Miller High Life beer, you see, made in Packers country. Mr. Miller who started that brewery was a very fine Irishman I must say and his product is sooo much superior to Bud or Coors & the rest of 'em.
May blessings always be upon you Friend, and likewise also to all who are there with you.
I sure do wish that you all could come to our Superbowl party, it's going to be almost as good as Paddy's Day.
Happy 2008 Simon....Good Luck in the new year. I suppose you are counting your days left before you take the big step. When is your Lucky day is it in April? Are all the plans set now. Are you going to post your Wedding pics on here. We will be all waiting to see them! Tell Sarah Hi and Good luck in 2008 too.
Hi there Friend,

The dentist didn't hurt hurt me too badly this time. I just know somebody had a special prayer for me and it worked well I think. Thanks for the well wishes & best regards to Sarah as well
