So Bob, long time without writing, busy life for us all,We will be back to Ireland for 2 weeks in April, got our tickets last week, going up to county Rosscommon to check out the area from Kevin Ohara's book "The Last of the Donkey Pilgrams"wich we have both read twice, highly recommend it!Have you been to Rosscommon? We will visit just 2 days there and then to our friends cottage in Creegh, county Clare.
Hi Bob,
That's awesome that you guys are leaving soon! I bet you are super excited, and what a great ticket price!! I would love to be able to spend a year there, or even live there. Especially if I could live on the West coast. Of course I would have to have some way to earn a living...but I'm sure I could figure something out. Will you guys be working or just taking it easy?
I did have a good trip. It was really fast though and I wish I could have spent more time in each of the places we went. I think I have a couple pictures on my page from my trip. I hope to go back again soon. You guys will have to keep in touch. I'm sure you will have a blast. Will this be the longest stretch you have stayed there?
P.S. got a ticket (well three tickets, I ended up splitting it into three seporate flights...which is stressing me out because I'm worried about missing a flight if one is delayed!! Ah well.
Here's hoping next time I travel there it won't cost as much!!
Sandy, july is always an expensive time to fly...fares are at their highest...we go to Ireland either in Mid May or later in January....this year i am going over in april, good luck!!!
After hearing the music on your site I will have to check them out. I did not start playing fiddle until I was over 40. My youngest daughter liked what I was doing so she started when she was 7 and is now 11. She sometimes goes and plays in the pub with me from time to time. If you love fiddle music, its never too late to start playing.
IF YOU ENJOY THE MUSIC ON MY SITE PLEASE CHECK OUT celticspringband...a canadian family with very talented, very young, children....they came in second on the US TV show..."America Has Talent".... we saw them at an "Irish Fair" the other day....they are all wondeful step dancers as well....the greenest thing at that fair was me "reen with envy" to see such fabulous talent.
