Hi Sandy!
I have just seen your pictures and would like to know what kind of historical reenactment you take part in?
Because I take part in a similar group, covering mediaeval stuff. We do sword-fights, mediaeval tournaments with our horses, we tell little stories about history and play different roles on stage (open-air).
Thanks for commenting my photo!
Yeah, you can get a sunburn in a couple of hours on top of the cliffs:) It is quite nice to walk down to the tower, not so many tourists there...
Nice to hear that you liked my pictures...

the added "fuel costs" over last year... are significant ....we just booked our flghts with aer lingus....you can save a few dollars by the days you pick for leaving...we did the best that we could and came up with $1,810 for the two of us....we did not have enough "points" this year for a free ticket...with our aer lingus mastercard...once you are in "europe " air fare bargins are plentiful...Dublin to rome...29 Euros..getting there is the hard part.

Good advise Gregory. I know a friend of mine brought some back that he was given, but that was quite a few years ago. I'll have to check into that thanks :-)
check with customs before you go to see if you can import peat. It is a plant product that they may not allow in.
We have huge peat bogs here in the Ottawa area, but it is not the same kind of peat. Nice earthy smell to it. We use peat for bedding under the horses. It is better than wood shavings or straw and we sell the used peat compost to gardeners.
hi sandy....aer lingus is our airline of choice because they fly out of LAX which is close ....they only fly in and out of a few US cities....we fly non stop ( 10 and 1/2 hours to Dublin fromL.A. ) and we like that....the fares are good...in the off season half price...the summer fare....we have an aer lingus mastercard and get points toward a free round trip ticket usually each year....since we use the card for EVRYTHING. otherwise our summer roundtrips run about $750 for each of us and about $350 roundtrip for eachof us in the winter....last year we went over in January. and that saved us some money...
we like flying with AER LIngus because it makes us feel like we are almost already in Ireland when we get on the plane..
