And a grand hello to you JoanMarie - I'm new to the site, having just moved not long ago from Curracloe (across the Slaney from Wexford town) to the deep south - and I miss Ireland with every fibre of my being. I saw your video and thought I'd simply say hi. I have lots and lots of Irish music - vocal and instrumental. I'll be uploading some soon. I also have an eBay vinyl music store and love Jazz (and have tons of it), so if you're needing a bit of music you might not have, feel free to ask me and if I have it, I'll either upload it or cc it and send it on to you.
In the meantime may your day be filled with blessings and laughter and your nights with good friends and a glass of Paddy.
Awesome--always liked those! Wht kinds of classes are you considering? I am writing a paper on Mother Mary Jones, a teacher turned advocate for the children and destitute workers in the US.. My original idea was to write a comparison between she, Helen Keller's nurse Annie Sullivan, and the first woman to fight for the Teacher's Union in Chicago. All of these women were Irish by origin, teacher's by trade, and major contributors to American History--I did not get enough done before my trip and got an extension, but have blown it because I am stuck and just don't seem to concentrate, let alone pull out the 6 books we must have as references. If I fail, I could get kicked out of the program because I have to keep an A/B+ average in our program. So far, I have been more A than B, but I lost something when I traveled and it is hard to care because my current class is whalloping me.
Thanks so much for the kind words; have been insanely up to my neck in muchk with this class and I have a paper that I just can't get together--not good, but other than that all is well. How are you?
My holidays are near, so I´ll have a lot of time to chat with you. Tim is feeling better and I think about having a Guiness in Dublin .Hope we`ll meet us there??

Very nice! I am the leader of the group 'General Musician Chat', and I reserve it just for musicians. You should check it out, see if you like it. I try to make it as useful as possible, and I am always open to suggestions. Do you compose your own stuff? I myself have been playing piano and keyboards since I was about five, and I am in multiple bands and am currently trying to make a full cd of my material. Talk to you later!
