Stevie:
I am hoping you can give me some information about your pipes. Well.....more specifically.....where I might be able to find some reasonably here in the States.
Can you give me an idea of what an entry-level set would cost?
The next question is probably going to make you laugh....do you know anyone in the Austin, TX area who would teach pipe lessons?!?!?
I also had a thought - you and your band mates should consider the Austin City Limits Music Festival!!! They get folks coming from all over the world!
Someone on the chat yesterday said that you and Daoiri will be hosting the show tomorrow - I will do my best to listen in! My handle on the chat is i41mok.
hello!! the show was great!! and thanks for the kiss :D you're so sweett, and i'm so happy to be your wife, haha. I guess Daoiri is jealous.. bad thing :P
Anyway, kisses and i'll be wating for you next wednesday ;)
Deadly, I'll listen in next week! Hows things? I'm bored missing college and all the gang, can't wait for tues night in the Dame to start again, in the mean time I'm flogging my self to the bone trying to get a job :-)
Hope to catch up soon, ali x
I'm fine, just a little tired, thanks for asking..
and well, about the show, yesterday i was listening the radio til 6pm (i think was 11pm in Ireland) and i never talked, saw or heard to Daoiri, so i guess he was not on the studio or he didn't want to talk with us.. =)
However i was waiting for you.. lol
Ah, I have had a few pints in a couple of those places--I am jealous that you get to play every night--good for you though--maybe when I retire and move to Eire, I can play every night!!!!
Stevie--I like your music--great stuff----I have seen Grada a couple of times--they were really good shows. The last show was this past year--they were in Portland, ME--the guy that runs the venue is a friend of mine as well as running the two seisiuns that I play at. I look forward to them returning to Maine again.
What pubs in Temple Bar have you played at?
Hiya,
Thanks for the add!
I was happy to see you presenting last Wednesday when I tuned in. I also saw/heard your session on LI about a month ago, I think on Greg and Pat's show...... you're really a fine musician. I enjoyed chatting with you last Wednesday.
I felt bad that I could not accept Daoiri's marriage proposal, but what's a girl to do?
I haven't been to Ireland, but grandparent's are from there, my Dad was born in the States. Hope to take my family there someday and of course, visit LI. Keep playing like you mean it, you are very talented. I look forward to chatting with you on LI again.
Hugs!
Stevietrad--welcome to the group--I love trad music as well--I play in 2 different seisuins/week about an hour and a quarter from where I live--can't get enough of the music--have had many memorable experiences playing in seisuins in Ireland.
Failte,
tim
