Hey Doug!
Beautiful sunset pictures!! Went through some of your other pictures too, the one with you and the wild bird, "Whiskey Jack" from the Marble Cub Scout shot, is that a scrub jay? We have them in Florida and they interact with people more than you'd expect. Nice shot!
Hey you. Send you an email. Just showing Jim your pictures and of course they do remind us alot of our vacation there. Looks like lots of fun. Tell Laurie hi and hope that we meet again.
We are finally back home today. Will be back more next at end of week (Jim is backpacking for a week with a friend). Going back to work on Friday...OH!!!!
Will write you later. Pat
Doug,
We fell in love with the island. Did make it out to the NP and saw the catherdal grove on the way and then went to both ends of the strip there. Explored many of the beaches (tide pools also). Camped at Long Beach. There where bear warnings everywhere...of course we saw one on the road. We weren't going to camp there...but had to much to still see, so we did and visited the next day till 4pm. The foxgloves (flowers) were beautiful in full bloom (also in Washington). Once back in the states we did recieve some bad news...my bother-in-law has been fighting cancer and was given a week to 2 before he passes on. So I had to cut my visit to Washington area shorter and we are on our way to San Francisco area. Did see the Olymipic area and today Mt. St. Helens... It was great meeting with you guys...was a blast. It gave flavor to our trip to meet you guys and Robert in Port Angeles and all the advice you both had to give on what to see...was great. Suggested to Robert that maybe in the future a group of could meet there somewhere in the area to jam/tell stories...would be fun. Will write later...when able. Again thanks and tell Laurie hi.
Pat
Element,
Thank you so much for the advice on places. We had found the gardens and yes a must we think. The Pacfic Rim Park we are now spending an extra day and camp there on the 14th. The pub...oh my...reminds me of Ireland's...a must! We will be at Victoria on July 11th to the 13th and then to the park on the 14th. Did you want to hook up on the evening of the 13th or 14th? Let me know. Again thanks for the information.
Pat and Jim
Yes it is West. We aren't sure yet if we are leaving late Sunday or Monday...be nice to hook up a bit. I'll let you know for sure in a few days. We are firming up plans. Will take your advice on places to see. We don't mind the driving...we are crazy like that...as long as it is beautiful or interesting. Get back to you soon.
We have reservations at the KOA in one of their cabins (this is the only time we aren't tenting it for the trip). Will be there July 11th to the 14th...before that we will be in Vancouver for a few days...heard so much about the town and we just want to check it out and maybe some surrounding area. We are all excited...won't be long.
Pat
How are things there? Been busy with friends, a student and family...out on adventures with nature. Taking a break right now. Next week off to Yellowstone and then to Canada and over to you neck of the woods. We will be mostly tent camping along the way. Any sugguestions from a Canadian on camping there? Is you wife's work on display anywhere? Will welcome the input. Thanks, Pat

Element,
Nice to hear from you. These pictures were from Dublin our first days. I hope to post others later as time goes by. Went to Ireland last summer for about 4 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. This photo of me is in Ireland to show how narrow a common country road was. Have you and your wife been? How many shows does your wife go to a year to sell here art? I know that her art takes some plannning and it has always interest me. Here in Nevada we are having more than our FAIR WINDS...more like dust storms and earthquakes. So that means things can only improve. Clan to you
Doug your wife's work is beautiful. I have always wanted to learn the art of work with fabric...the textures and colors draw one to them. She has great compositions in her designs. How did she get started with the art? Thanks for sharing the site...so does she sell her work?
I hope you're doing a great visit in your neck of the wood..!
