Yes, you've struck it rich here with our connection. My husband, Davis Horner, and I started a celtic band locally back in the mid 90's (Kilmoulis Celtic Band ..named after an Irish Brownie!) and then transitioned into another band named Selkie Celtic Band. So far Selkie has produced two CD's and performed in the Southeast...amazingly talented band. I was lead singer, bodhran player, keyboard for quite a few years and then dropped out. Take note of "Wynde in the Riggin" as the band member, David Boles, plays the whistle and Davis plays the Bodran...excellent piece! Selkie performed as the opening band for "the Battlefield Band" at the Handlebar last March. Maybe you were there? WE do have an amazingly talented Mandolin player friend, Joel McConnell, right here in Greenville. His band is called "Skeezits" and they also perform at various celtic oriented events in the Upstate. He also joins Selkie for some performances.
