Hi Carol,
We saw lots of deer but didn't shoot one. I was looking for a doe for the freezer. I had three chances: one was ruined by a dog, one by a small buck chasing the does, and one by another hunter. My son, 18, is looking for the big one so he lets a lot of opportunities pass. I hope your sons are more successful. Regarding trail cameras, yes there are several on our property. The more serious deer hunters use them. I enjoy looking at the pictures. Often they photograph foxes, bobcats, wild pigs, or coyotes. Those are more interesting than deer to me. Since I have had pancreatitis the doctor told me no spicy food so if you don't drink and you are on the hot sauce then you have to give it up.

Hi Carol. Mt McKinley is beautiful. This is one of those places it's hard to get a bad piture in! I have not been to fairbanks but have lived down in the Mat-Su Valley since I was born!
I have not been to Minnesota but went to school in Ohio for a year. I think with the 'lake effect' they get more snow then we do sometimes!

Yhanks for the welcome. I live in Imperial Beach-1 block from the Ocean-so I'm not really close to the fires. But the school where I teach had to shut down for most of the week-and the air is unhealthy-a lot of smoje and ash-the sea breeze smells like an ashtray.

Hope everythings is ok... and the crops are harvestfull (don't know if that word exist... if not, I've just created it..!!!)...!
Here, maple leafs are 98% on the ground after the recent rains and winds... which is ok as far as yearfull (or is it yearround) timing goes... Big Cycle, you know..!!!
