Hello Connor,
Great to hear from you and that your degree is almost completed. The trip will certainly be an adventure of a lifetime. In terms of CDs we are still working out the best way to organise things for overeseas and are also hoping that they will do a CD of originals soon. I went to my niece's wedding yesterday which was in a forest picnic area. Chris and Hannah played, including a tune Chris wrote, and the sound of that music echoing throgh the forest was wonderful. The Blue Mosquitoes are playing tonight so it has been a big weekend. Luckily we have two a two week school holiday so can sleep in tomorrow. Keep up the good work with your study. I have put mine on hold as it has been nice having time to do things with the children. Thanks again for your message and I hope that one day we may meet face to face.
Regards,
David
Hello Connor,
Great to see you back on the site. Haven't seen you on for a while. We are busy planning our trip to Ireland in July next year and have already organised for Daideo and the Blue Mosquitoes to play a few gigs. Have been busy with children with the usual weekend sport, music, scouts, etc. We only have two more weeks after this one before schools have a two week vacation so I am looking forward to a break. Hope you are both well.
Hi Connor, thank you for your friendship. Like myself, I see you have a great love of the good old Irish music. Hope you have a wonderful time here on liveIreland and that you make many new friends. Take care, Cheers, Ann
David,
you are most welcome, those young adults are so good they touched my heart and brought a tear to the eye. May God bless they and pass the word along to them. No Worries, you all are wonderful, keep believing in yourselves and your music and God will do the rest. Tell the artists i would love to buy a CD or recording of their music , if that would be possible. And you David, I am proud to say I hope one day we can become mates, Gu'day
Connor,
Thanks for the kind comments about Daideo and the Blue Mosquitoes. My son Chris is the one playing guitar. The fiddle and mandolin players are my wife's niece and nephew. The girl on Bodrhan they met with us at an Irish music session in a pub in Hobart. She has a brilliant singing voice and made the top 40 of Australian Idol at 16 after singing Black is the Colour at her audition, which is not your typical choice for a show like that The average age is possibly a slight exaggeration as three of them are actually just 17 but young Stuart on mandolin is only 13. I love the fact that this community shares photos, videos, music and stories of what ordinary people who love Irish music are doing in all corners of the world.
Connor Welcome to LiveIreland. I share your love of Irish music and drink as well as having Irish Ancestry. We had a lots of Irish convicts and immigrants who came to Tasmania which was originally called Van Diemen's Land. Van Diemen's Land features in a number of Irish songs incluidng one by U2.
Thanks so much for the website and i am trying to become a member. The pictures are truely lovely and th music enchanting. Thanks again, my new dear friend.
