Sincere apologies for not replying but I've not logged on for months, mainly because I was in the Beara Peninsula, West Cork for most of the summer and will indeed be returning next week. Apart from that I've been catching up on things here in Dublin and doing a bit of work in between.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost your daughter James, I'm sure it doesn't get harder than that. I pray you find the strength to cope with your terrible loss and that as time passes the days will become more bearable. Take care for now, Ann

The rainfall over the past few weeks has been out of this world. Elderly people say they've never experienced anything like it. The west coast and midlands have been the worst hit because our two main rivers, the Shannon and Liffey burst their banks. Water in some areas on the west coast rose to 7+ feet and now to make matters worse their water is contaminated. I can't imagine what's it's like to lose your home and belongings especially just before Christmas. I pray for them all. Here in Dublin we've been very lucky, thank God.
