Looking forward to hearing you play. I have some Irish roots being one of many Australians to have Irish convict ancestors. I only have one recording of me up on the site playing a song I wrote called the Cracked Fiddle. Most of the other videos are of the band my son plays in with two of his cousins and a friend. Their band, called Daideo and the Blue Mosquitoes, play both traditional and contemporary Irish music. Thanks for te comment and kepp enjoying the site. David
Hello Trevor, Welcome to Live Ireland from one celtic music fan to another. Sorry I just missed you on chat but the dog demanded a walk. Look forward to perhaps hearing or viewing some of your music on the site. David
Hey Trev. Seán from Halifax. If you haven't yet, read the series by Morgan L. 1916-1999. It's really good reading and you learn a lot about the trials and tribulations, historical figures etc of the Catholic Irish, IRA, and such. Heart moving stuff. 'Druids' and 'A Greener Shore' are also recommended. Finished 'Red Branch' awhile ago and was deeply moved, was sad to finish it really. She is a great writer no doubt. Can't wait to explore more of her work. Thought I'd just pass that on. Hope is all good on the Rock. Thinking of moving there sometime soon, Cornerbrook area. I'm a skier from out west so Marble is calling my name. People say nothing but good things about that there so my curiosity is getting the best of me. Anyways, have a good one! Enjoy LI.
