Thanks! I also have 4 other celtic tattoo's, I will have to put pictures up here. My ancestors were in the area of Ardglass, Scramogue, and Sligo. I am planning a trip to Ireland in the summer, I hope I will be able to go if not then it will be next year sometime.
We've always gone in June, but it has always been beautiful at that time of year. I was particularly impressed with the beautiful roses over there. Their color was very vivid and some were the size of cabbages. Nothing that big in the U.S..
Mayke, I love Connemara. It's wild and it's amazingly beautiful. We have gone there on each of our trips to Ireland and I always recommend it to people who are going over for the first time. If you go back and go to Clifden, check out Lakeside B & B. It's owned by mary Kirby and her husband and is a great place to stay. Mary is a wonderful person as is the husband. Best of everything to you and talk with you in the future.
Hi Mayke. I'm presently reading a book called "Hell's Highway". It's all about the actions of the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division's action around in Holland as they tried to free Holland from the Germans. The U.S. veterans of that campaign have very good things to say about the Dutch people. Several of the men in my old army unit fought near Nijmegen and remembered it well.
I can't say I've heard that poem, but I like it! Also, thank you for commenting on my songs! If you would like, you can download them from the player on my website or at http://www.reverbnation.com/freewheelinmedshow.
Anyway, thanks again!
I just joined earlier this week, though my husband has been active for awhile. We're both enjoying the camraderie here - a good group of folks! Hope that you'll enjoy it too!

I would love to live in Ireland someday myself. (Insert wistful sigh here.) Someday, maybe.
Anyway, thanks again!
