I have just completed an amazing 4 week Touring of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
I was interviewed on a number of Radio Stations including RTE;
BBC Ulster, 'Good Morning Ulster' Program (13.09.2010) and BBC 4, 'Women's Hour' Program (15.09.2010)
I was also interviewed by several newspapers throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland including a full page article (page 28) in the Art Section of the Belfast Telegraph - Thursday Sept 16. Over the next few weeks there will be articles generated by Tasmanian Tourism Regional Manager Susie de Carteret in magazines as well as stories that I have been commissioned to write stemming from my appearance as the main installation artist at the recent 'Festival of Quilts', NEC, Birmingham.
On a number of occasions local Mayors and Lord Mayors attended Roses from the Heart(r) events and presented me with gifts from the Municipality that they represented. The Australian Ambassador to Ireland, Mr Bruce Davis, attended two of my Events held in County Cork - one at the cork City Gaol and one at the Cohb Heritage Centre.
I had a fabulous two day 'time out' in County Kerry with Cork musician, Dave McGilton. Dave has two songs on my CD Roses from the heart. Dave and friends, performed at Roses from the Heart(r) events held in County Cork.
I toured through County Cork, County Wexford, County Wicklow, County Dublin, County Mayo and County Down. Accompanied by my business partner from Western Australia, musician and producer of the Irish Scene Magazine - Fred Rea and musicians Fiona Rea and Lateisha Boucher.
'Never to forget' experiences and fantastic Irish generosity and hospitality.
