Irish Actress Katie McGrath to star in “Dracula”

Irish actress Katie McGrath is to star alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Lucy Westenra in the new TV series Dracula. Digital spy named McGrath as the choice for leading role back in July 2012. Game of Thrones, Nonso Anozie has been cast as Renfield Dracula’s sidekick. The new TV production takes place in 19th century London, where Dracula poses as an American businessman called Alan Grayson. Grayson goes around London taking revenge on associates who have double crossed him. Carnivale director and creator Dan Knauf will show-run the series over ten issues which will air on NBC network in the US and Sky digital in the UK.

Katie stars as the sorceress Morgana in Merlin. She has also appeared in The Tudors, The Queen and the next version of the film Labyrinth.
