Ireland in July

Planning(firm dates 7/01 - 7/12) our first trip to Ireland. Any must see events/festivals/music going on during that time? We will be looking for relatives, Cty Laois - surname Bowe and Cty Cork - surname McDonnell. We are mostly looking to take in the sights.
