Happy Leap Day

I have a cousin who celebrates her 10th (actual) birthday today-----& she's turning 40. I would go out & celebrate tonight, but I decided to do a 30 hour famine with the teens from my church, instead. I'm going to have fun----but not as most would think. Sometimes less is more.
And let me leap right into something else....in 11 days my world will become so much broader. For the 1st time I'll see the Atlantic Ocean, for the 1st time I'll leave North America, and for the 1st time I'll be in Ireland, the land that both my husband & I feel drawing us to, the land of our ancestors. The Emerald Isle----it just seems to be a part of us. My husbands great-grandfather came to the US in the late 1800s----my families ties go back much further....but still, it calls us. And so, here we finally are just days/minutes away....this Bonnie Lass (me) looks forward to leaping into the 40 shades of green (& rich brown of the pint) along the way.
