American Expat?

As you can see from my profile, I’m looking to possibly expatriate from the States to Ireland. Ever since I was young, I wanted to live outside the States and I now have that opportunity with my current employer. I would like to use this site to meet folks currently living in Ireland or who lived there at one time but are currently living outside of Ireland to ask questions about current conditions and issues living in Ireland. I was going to use Bebo as a social site since it seems to be very popular in Ireland but I think this site has more potential to provide me with answers to questions I have about living and working in Ireland. Plus, MyLiveIreland is not blocked like MySpace at work, hehe.

Anyway, I would like to use my site as a place to discuss work/life issues in Ireland and make some Irish contacts before I come to Dublin. So if you're up for it, add me to your friends list or we can discuss here in the blog.
