I have a cousin who celebrates her 10th (actual) birthday today-----& she's turning 40. I would go out & celebrate tonight, but I decided to do a 30 hour famine with the teens from my church, instead. I'm going to have fun----but not as most would think. Sometimes less is more. As this year is now in full swing...my attitude needs some uplifting-----so, its a push out the door in the cold---with my ever supportive running shoes & back to the 6:25am roll out of bed & onto the gym routines. Like the little engine that could---I think I can. As the days start lasting longer--thank God the Yule/Winter Solstice has past--and the evenings aren't sooooo cold, it sure makes it easier to push myself. I'm trying to clean out the excess tempting foods lying around, too

In a month (12/26) Christmas will have come & gone.... In these days of little day light & long nights it's hard to stick with my running & easy to get distracted in the morning with the chill from working out on the gym, too. I'm thinking now, as I write this at work, how lovely the thought of hanging out tonight with a cozy fire sounds. I hope that Peace & Joy fill everyones hearts this next month. (here's to those who stop & smell the roses)!
