I found this BEAUTIFUL poem and wanted to share it with all of my wonderful friends!
The New Year

I cannot understand.
Whatever coming days may bring
Of bitter loss, or gain,
Or every crown of happiness;
Should sorrow come, or pain,
Or, Lord, if all unknown to me
Thine angel hovers near
To bear me to that farther…

For the past couple of weeks I've been pretty busy developing a series of 16 Squidoo lenses for Maggie's Music, an independent label started over 20 years ago by hammered dulcimer player Maggie Sansone. The label specializes in what has been termed "chamber folk." While there are many solo recordings on the label, the artists often get together on each others' recordings as well. The music draws on Celtic traditions of Ireland, Scotland and other areas, with a good dash of American influence…

The Livies 2009
This has been the greatest year ever in writing about the music. There are three reasons. First is Beal Tuinne. This Derry singer is out with her first album, At Last. At last, indeed. Third…

Well she looks a bit better now then when we first purchased her earlier this year. I need to get out there and get a few shots to show progress as it occurs. We never realized how much the space was needed for our family until we were blessed to have the room to spread out. The last home was a fourth the size of the one we have now. Unfortunately, the utility bills don't come…

Me in a foul mood, i usually like it here, but not today
Don’t come to Kansas
There aint nothing here
Just me, a pack of smokes and a half case of beer
Theres no oceans or trees
I tell you nothing to see
don’t come to Kansas
There aint nothing here.
Don’t come in the springtime
Its violent and bold
don’t come for the winters
you’ve never felt such cold
don’t come in the summer
Its scorching and bare
don’t come to…

Since April I've been building lenses (web pages, but Squidoo calls them lenses because they focus on a topic) about Celtic music on Squidoo. The pages have some info about the performers, links to their pages and other online resources, plus links, mostly to Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, to available recordings.
Here's a list of Celtic Music Lens Links:

The following link is an URGENT PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!! All guys are urged to view this important public service video! Especially at this time of year, it bears an important warning.
You ladies are welcome to view it as well and forward the link to all the guys you care about. This is an important message and could, perhaps, prevent a tragic waste to some guy that you love.

I want to say thank you to all of my LiveIreland family. As I turn 40...yikes, I choose to remember all of the good things that life has brought my way like friends such as you. I choose to only remember things from the past that taught me how to be wiser. I choose to move forward with confidence in knowing that I have people who love and care for me. I choose to show kindness and thoughtfullness to others and to appreciate the simple things in life. I choose to let God direct my every step.…
