Sometimes on the path of life we come to a point that we can not reverse. Called the point of no return... We hesitate to go forward, with afraid to take a step forward, when faced with the unknown. But, from that called point of no return, we can no longer go back. Stop it is impossible... Then, we can only move forward... Even if it is to enter in a world that until then, we were unaware of the…

THIS is my letter to the world,
That never wrote to me,-
That simple news that Nature told,
With tender majesty.
Her message is committed To hands I cannot see;
For love of her, sweet countrymen,
Judge tenderly of me !

HAPPY EASTER
Easter is the commemoration of Jesus' resurrection, universally celebrated by Christians around the world. Although how and even when Easter is celebrated varies greatly.
Both Western Churches (Roman Catholic and Protestant) and Eastern Churches (Greek and Russian Orthodox) celebrate Easter on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox.
There are as many as five weeks between the two Easter celebrations. In the Western…

I've been involved in music all my life. My father played the push button accordion, the Jews Harp, the mouth organ, the six string acoustic guitar with a steel slide as well as yodeled and sang. My Mother, as a child, won awards for her tap dancing, sang, played the piano, took part in small plays and always assisted back stage in small functions. So no wonder I had a love of music. I remember we used to sit around the piano on Friday nights, playing and singing all the old songs for example "…

Dear Friends,
Come check out the new music I have just uploaded. My concert "Songs from the Emerald Isle" features instrumental and choral arrangements that I wrote during my sabbatical appointment in Ireland. The concert features the University of Southern Indiana Chamber Choir and the Rowan Tree Celtic Group of Evansville Indiana.

Hi! I'm Redhead Mama, Chief Mom of Operations of Bookieboo. I'm so honored to be able to share my experiences with everyone of how I lost weight and how I am continuing to stay on track.
My second piece of advice is this:
Create Mini-Milestones
If you have a large goal like I did, don't think about it in it's entirety. (This is very important!) The best thing to do is break it up into smaller goals. I call them…

Hi! I'm Redhead Mama, Publisher of Bookieboo.
When people find out how much weight I've lost, especially if they did not know me when I was heavier, they look at me in amazement like I've done something impossible. My weight loss and new lifestyle have nothing to do with super human strength. I'm an ordinary stay-at-home mom with a very active toddler boy, whom I named the site after. Everything I did and continue to do is with the…

#2 Son left this morning for basic training (Air National Guard)--the first chick out of the nest (three others still at home) and I'm drooping a bit. I know he'll be okay, I know he'll be back--not till November, in time for the holiday season--and I know he's not likely to be called into active duty, but I've never said goodbye to one of the kids for longer than 11 days before and even then I could call them.
And yet...this is the way it's supposed to be and it's not as bad as all those…

St. Patrick is said to have lived in the 5th Century, although only two contemporary documents attest to his existence: the Letter to Coroticus and a last confession. Both documents are written in the first person. Accepting St. Patrick's historical existence on this evidence is an act of faith.
The popular tales of St. Patrick's life -- that he chased snakes out of Ireland and used the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity -- were developed between the 8th and 14th centuries:…

St. Patrick came from Ireland
A country trimmed with green
It has the shamrocks and the pipes
Those leprechauns you've seen
Those leprechauns will trip you
You'll fall flat on your face
They'll tickle your nose and sour the milk
Then find a hiding place!
There's a dear little plant that grows in our isle
'Twas Saint Patrick himself sure that set it
And the sun on his labor with pleasure did smile
And a tear from his eyes…

This is cute! Enjoy!
Mrs. Donovan was walking down O'Connell Street in Dublin when she met up with Father Flaherty.
The Father said, 'Top O'the mornin' to ye! Aren't ye Mrs. Donovan and didn't I marry ye and yer hoosband two years ago?'
She replied, 'Aye, that ye did, Father.'
The Father asked, 'And be there any wee little ones yet?'
She replied, 'No, not yet, Father.'
The Father said, 'Well now, I'm going to Rome next week and I'll light a candle for ye and…

Irish Man Can See Again after Son's Tooth is Placed in His Eye
(March 1, 2008)
"I have come out from complete darkness to be able to do simple things."
(Dublin, Ireland)—County Mayo resident, 57-year-old Bob McNichol, was blinded by an explosion two years ago. Today he’s is seeing again after doctors inserted his son's tooth and its root, along with part of his son's jawbone, in his eye. You read that right: the son's tooth was inserted into the father's eye. (Photo:…

Die Liebende
Das ist mein Fenster. Eben
bin ich so sanft erwacht.
Ich dachte, ich würde schweben.
Bis wohin reicht mein Leben,
und wo beginnt die Nacht?
Ich könnte meinen, alles
wäre noch Ich ringsum;
durchsichtig wie eines Kristalles
Tiefe, verdunkelt, stumm.
Ich könnte auch noch die Sterne
fassen in mir,…
