This is my first attempt at the blogging thing, but here goes.
I love to tell stories, (not the kind to try and get out of trouble) but ones that say something about the positive side of the human experience. Stories about dedication, respect, honor, ect.
Any way, I have a passion about sharing these with any interested in listening, and am hoping to earn a living at it as well. Don't have all the specifics yet, but am slowly filling in the pieces.

As recent as August of last year Jade Goody was given the devastating news that she had cervical cancer while she was appearing on India's version of Big Brother, "Big Boss". As a huge fan of Jade since her first appearance on Big Brother 3 in 2002 I was shocked like so many to read those headlines. Little did anyone know then we would now be reading about her impending death.
Over the years Jade has come in for a lot of criticism and cruel… Continue

Last Christmas Eve, in my hometown, a number of choirs teamed up to sing together. A couple of musicians from the Music Union I'm also with, supported them. Amongst the listeners were a number of Assyrians (The are several Assyrian communities in the Netherlands). They happened to be members of an Assyrian choir, and liked what they heard. After the "concert", an Assyrian delegation asked the musicians if they were willing to support their choir on a very special occasion. They had been… Continue

Had a ? for you or any Irish...I saw a story on History Channel a few years ago about a man who was lured or tricked into following a beautiful sound from a woman in a field to an underground world...he followed her pretty far and decided on turning back. She tried to keep him but he ran...she chased him down with an object wrapped in white linen or some white cloth and told him to take it, but not look at it until he ran all the way out and not to turn around. He ran through the field and… Continue

CD & DVD Review:
Fil Campbell – SONGBIRDS (CD and companion DVD) (Glenshee Records)
The Fermanagh-born singer/songwriter has changed tack for her latest project (and fourth album release), on which she looks back at the music of her childhood and pays tribute to the songs of the past and the women singers who performed them. Its genesis lies in Fil’s desire to make a CD of folk songs that she had grown up with and that had first been recorded in the 1930s by Delia Murphy, but that… Continue

Hey gang, following an accident at work back in November, I was afraid of the injury to my back following running my head into an overhang, falling backwards, landing with my spine perfectly centered on the edge of the stairs, which flung me forward, knocking the wind out of me and gashing a pretty large cut in my head...not forehead but top of my head. I could not breathe or talk...that really panicked me. I did not even realized I landed on the steps until, they asked if I was alright...and I… Continue

I went to a new Irish Pub in Sacramento. I am so excited! It was a very nice place and the whole family is running it. I can't wait to go back. They were such friendly people.
