About Me:
I am American, Irish. My Patron Saint is St. Patrick being born on his feast day. I have always loved Celtic Music. I have a Celtic Music Hour radio program that airs in Nevada, KSVL-92.3 FM go to KSVL92@yahoo.com and you can read about me. I found your site when I was browsing for help in finding the right words to say to my listeners regarding the desire to always play music by the older and deceased player such as Tommy Mc Mahon, John Kelly, Chris Droney and such never to forget these people. Without them there would be no New Age, World, Folk Celtic music. Also, I want to talk about how different regions had different styles of playing. I like the history part of Celtic Music and the players of gone by days. My ggggrandfather was born in Co. Kilkenny, David D. Keeley. I know something about him once he was in the states. However, I don't know where in Co. Kilkenny he was born. I wish I knew for when I visit Ireland I would like to visit his birth place and maybe find some relatives of mine. I am always looking for new music. I don't get paid for what I am doing so buying music is limited. My husband and I are sheep raisers. We have been doing so for almost 20 yr. Our Border Collies help us with our work.
Slánt,

I did see that you have the radio show and intend to bring up the stream when I get the chance. I have been to Ireland twice. Last time was June of 2008 when I spent 18 days, starting in Dublin and headed north and then around the island, finishing back in Dublin. I even visited the LiveIreland studios.

I have many, many celtic favorites. I just spent last weekend working at Wintergrass, a four day bluegrass music festival here. (not all the music is bluegrass). I heard a great group from Vancouver, BC that plays an eclectic mix. The flute player is from Scotland and they play a lot of good celtic as well. They are The Paperboys (http://paperboys.com). Check 'em out.

Slan go foill. I will try to email you instead of more comments here the next time.
