Debbie Leigh said… Hi Martin,
Thanks for the friends request. Yes, I love the LiveIreland music. I've discovered many new artists listening to their playlist. I also play the piano and write music. I noticed in your pictures that you play the tin whistle. I'm currently working on a CD and I'd like to add a fiddle and tin whistle to a couple of the songs to create a Celtic feel. I need to buy a tin whistle set. I say "set" because I checked online to find them and it seems you have to buy several to be able to play in multiple keys, unlike a flute that can play in several different keys. Do you have any suggestions for the best place to buy them online?
Have a wonderful day!
Debbie

You are right about Robert. So much of what is around today is artificial. He has one of those genuine voices that captures emotion and tells the story form the heart. This is what I love about LiveIreland. It is not about the videos of those who have made it. It is about the ones we would never have had a chance to hear without the site. Thanks for your comments about the Blue Mosquitoes also. What I am so proud of with them is how much they love playing their music and the creativity they put into their song writing. I got more pleasure out of watching my parents watching them at a small gig last month than I do watching them play to a large crowd. Thanks for your wishes about Australia in the World Cup. Good luck to NZ too. May we beat them in the final!

Thanks for the friend invitation. Hope to make it to NZ in the not too distant future. I do have family links there from the early days of white settlement and distant relatives. Pleased to see you love Irish music too.
Cheers,
David
