I am learning fiddle tunes to play by listening here...anyone else doing the same?

I"ve found it so helpful to become accustomed to the tunes by listening then when they come around at a session I know where they're headed. EronSee More

St. Bridgids well just north of Liscannor. 2 days hiking on the Burren. There are lots of great forts, dolmens and the place is covered in wild flowers in July. Don't to to Pou;nabrone, there will be tourists there but just North of there, you will see two gates on the right side of the road, there is a trail that leads to the left, that is a nice walk, if you keep looking to the left, you will see another nice dolmen about 1/4 mile of the track, that is a nice one. If you are interested in the abcient, read about Lough Gur and Aine in Co. Limerick, a good place to wander fields but read the history first.

Anywhere along the west is good. Sligo has lots of great sites, Try the Carrowkeel chambers, maybe 6000 years old and great energy there. It may be out of the way but that is the best of Ireland. If you do Sligo and visit Carrowmore, there is a storyteller that you can hire, His name is Michale Roberts and he is worth every penny, he has all the ledgends of the area and is well worth the 3 hours. Best of Luck, I may be there for a night of 2 myself.

Welcome to Live Ireland. It is great to see traditional music being played across the globe. My daughter plays fiddle and two of my sons play mandolin. The whole family love Irish music.
