Are you brewing from grain..? Malting barley grains yourself..? I have never get into the malting process...
Ah... so many good souvenirs comes into my memory at this moment... I used to buy grains in 50 pounds (22.68 kg) bag and crunch and cook and drain and ferment it... and in my last batches I've done Krausen (?) technic... getting to the *four ingredients* rules (barley water hops and yeast).
Anyhow... good souvenirs..!!! ;-)

I tried making beer once. It's better that I stick with beer cups.
What kind of brewing will you be doing? I have a lot of friends who are brewers and mead makers. They usually bring their work to the Ren Faire I attend in the fall. I've convinced them that I'm an expert taster. So far they've fallen for it.
