I was deeply touched by your note, Anona, as I feel very strongly about victim-blaming when women are abused by their partners. The book is actually my doctoral dissertation, and while I did the interviews in 1996 I continue to meet with the battered women's group in prison when I am in California teaching. Your experiences would likely be of help to those who are still in that distressful situation--do you have any opportunity to share? Thank you so much for contacting me about the letter--here is my email address should you ever want to use it 8-) eleonard@vanguard.edu

Dia dhuit A Anona ! thank u for being my friend ! take care ! Mike :))Are you familiar with this organization? http://www.familylifecentre.ie/women_overcoming_violence_project.html They are located in Boyle. They appear to be affiliated with Women's Aid which you have likely heard of http://www.womensaid.ie/ As a survivor, Anona, you have much to offer women who are still in that place of victimization. Bless you! elizabeth
