- Played drums foe 30yrs.Decided to take up the bodhran.I play an RWE at the moment a great drum with a wonderful sound.I have been playing the bodhran about 12 months I am finding the top end triplets and playing to polkas difficult.If anyone has any ideas I would like to hear from you.I can play the Kerry style triplets no problem.Had to give up the bigger drums owing to hearing problems and started playing the bodhran after getting a present of a Waltons tuneable from my Nephew.i will be attending the craiceann festival in Galway this year.
