About Me:
I was born and bred in Trepassey Newfoundland (Talamh an eisc) on the "irish loop"! Have always had a deep deep interest in Ireland..bhi machree ohin trasna na farriage! I lived in Eire for about a year bk in 2000, came over on a FAS heritage program and lived in Dublin, worked at Dvblinia, and can't wait to go bk. Would kill for a feed of Super-Mac's or some rashers and sausage now. I love Trad music and play several instruments including guitar, bouzouki, banjo, etc. I am an Irish history junkie and like to read alot. I am a crane operator by trade.
Favorite Music:
Mostly traditional stuff from Ireland or Newfoundland, but I have a wide range in musical taste from classic rock to old country to metal. As long as it's good I can listen to it. I cannot stand "fake music" like techno and this boy band crap thats out there though.

Trevor,
Looking forward to hearing you play. I have some Irish roots being one of many Australians to have Irish convict ancestors. I only have one recording of me up on the site playing a song I wrote called the Cracked Fiddle. Most of the other videos are of the band my son plays in with two of his cousins and a friend. Their band, called Daideo and the Blue Mosquitoes, play both traditional and contemporary Irish music. Thanks for te comment and kepp enjoying the site. David

Hey Trev. Seán from Halifax. If you haven't yet, read the series by Morgan L. 1916-1999. It's really good reading and you learn a lot about the trials and tribulations, historical figures etc of the Catholic Irish, IRA, and such. Heart moving stuff. 'Druids' and 'A Greener Shore' are also recommended. Finished 'Red Branch' awhile ago and was deeply moved, was sad to finish it really. She is a great writer no doubt. Can't wait to explore more of her work. Thought I'd just pass that on. Hope is all good on the Rock. Thinking of moving there sometime soon, Cornerbrook area. I'm a skier from out west so Marble is calling my name. People say nothing but good things about that there so my curiosity is getting the best of me. Anyways, have a good one! Enjoy LI.
