I'm an academic librarian at a small Midwestern University. I've been playing and singing trad music for over 30 years. I hold degrees in History, Library Science and Germanic Languages. I've been to Ireland a few times for music workshops and such. I wish I could go more often.

Harvest Home concert tracks

Hey friends:
I asked my fellow band members if I could post the whole concert on the site and they said OK. I am fortunate and happy to know and play with these folks. This concert was pretty much a one-time thing, but we worked hard and had fun. Anyway, I'd be happy for your comments and critiques. So, eistigi 's bainigi sult as! Check out the current episode of Siar an Bothar at TG4.tv Click on "ceol" and scroll down the program list. This particular program opens with some comments by Nicolas O'Carolan about how the bodhran became popular in the 70's , and some great film of the man who invented the new rhythms, Johnny "Ringo" McDonagh.
