Just a 'lil "Hello" between from overseas ... and other army !
See u, and good luck !
Semper Fi ;)
3 years is not much time left. We are both recently in the IRR now since we have 3 small kids and I kept getting called up for everything! I miss Sand Dog at times, but not MCRD. :) Hopefully you're not at 29 Stumps, ugh!! Summers are killer there!
I miss Active Duty at times, but love being a civilian. The reserves are great because it is the best (or worst) of both worlds. It's all in the attitude. We didn't have computers when we were in. It would have made life so much better and less miserable since we had no comms for huge lengths of time. I'm not saying that you have it easy, it's never too easy. You know what I miss the most? Free gym memberships!! :) No kidding.
Semper Fi Dog,
Karen (HM1)
I was also with the Marines for 15 years as a corpsman, but I'll pass the Semper Fi along to my hubby as well. His favorite show is also Kyle XY. Hmmm, must be a devil dog thing?
Are you now enjoying the life of a civilian yet? Your story sounds interesting.
We are in Oregon now, how 'bout you? If you can, you're always welcome to chat in the chatroom during the day, or night, and meet some others who are either Irish or just like the music. It's a great craic at times!
Slainte!
Karen
