Eileen Ivers ~ Beyond The Bog RoadHi! Please upload a pic and a shout out, on my map.
great to see all your smiling faces... and flora, lol...
Hmmm... My mates would say that I'm reasonabley intelligent, even tempered, active, I've a GSOH, easy to talk to, good craic to be around, definitely off the wall sometimes and not so serious about life that I can't have a laugh at myself (you know, all the good stuff). That's what they would say. 'Course, it would cost me dearly so, I'll just speak for them.
And if every word of that wasn't the absolute truth, it should be!
I can't rule out anything, really. I could say that I don't like this or that, but I'm sure I could find at least one piece in any one genre, that I could appreciate. You see, I'm a musician, (fiddle) and was raised on a real diversity of the arts. My first love though, is Traditional Music (Hornpipes, Jigs & Reels), the music of the Celtic People and their decendants. From Brittany to Cape Breton, Ireland to all across America, Ancient times to now, it's music that stirs my soul and I love both listening to and playing it.
Dia dhuit Stephen, Merci beaucoup pour le Valentine's Day champagne, lovely Impatience, and good wishes...also for the friend invitation. I'm listening to "Return to Roan Inish" on your site while leaving this comment. I love it. I saw the movie a couple of months ago. It was magical! All of music on your site is great. :-)
Dia dhuit Stephen! I saw that your birthday is tomorrow and thought I'd drop you a note of good wishes. Hope you have a great birthday!!!
Play some lovely music on your fiddle for us all. We'll pick it up telepathically! :-)
"Hi Stephen and all,
I am a fiddle player/teacher teaching in Dublin 20 years. I have a number of publications with Waltons.ie I was asked to do when I was teaching there.(see profile) A number of my students are regularly online and have asked me…"
"Congratulations on having the courage to try your art in public! I also am an amateur fiddler who picked up my first fiddle several years ago. At 46 years old, I look forward to joining a group of Irish music enthusiasts in my area."
My Baby has arrived! Made in 1851 by American Violin Maker, Sam'l Gunn, in Poughkeepsie, New York, she now resides in my violin case. And at 158 years old, she sings the irish so sweetly... It's like falling in love for the first time!
