We are Performing Musicians and owners of The White Crow Conservatory in Saginaw Michigan. We have 6 children between us 1 Dog.. 2 Cats.. many fish.
I am second Generation Irish American with Both of My Paternal Grandparents coming to the US in the Early 1900's.
Katherine Rowland 1 of 9 children came into Ellis island on March 14th 1909
Thomas O'Rourke came a bit before her, a Native of county Wexford.
I was blessed with the opportunity to visit the Home that Katherine Rowland was born and raised 7 miles north of Castlebar in a tiny spot of a place Called Gort. My Cousin Thomas Rowland lives in the house as it was built! I regret not being able to understand the full breadth of the loss these people lived through at an earlier point in my life. There just was no way for me coming from NY "even with all the stories" to understand Until I saw it with my own eyes.
I More then encourage anyone with any ties to Ireland to go back.
It is life changing.
We absolutely Love meeting all the Folks we do while we are on the Road and hope to Run into our Live Ireland Friends Along the Way!

I have received a bit of Mail asking to hear a bit more of what he does so I though you may enjoy them.
This is a "concept"CD (Bouzouki boo-zoo-kee:noun) that Zig put together.. all original Bouzouki tunes..with lots of other instrumentation.. Zig playing all of it and just layering Tracks! Very COOL we hope you like it!
The SONG posted #4 ANOTHER DAY is one of my own songs that is not written in the IRISH TRADITION. I posted it here on this site as it was written to speak about my own experience with being diagnosed with Cancer the Day after ST Patricks Day 2006.
This song is available as a single, Benefiting the tony and Trish House which is a Great Hospice in Michigan.
It is also available on Two compilation CDs
One benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Societies and its also on a CD Raising money for the Hungry and Homeless..
It speaks to anything that comes out of Clear blue sky and Changes tomorrow for you.

Just a reminder to those in the Northlands.. We will be performing at a Lovely Concert Venue in Curtis Michigan
On Saturday Oct 2nd. The Erickson Cultural Center. Tickets are available throught that venue as well as the Chamberlins Ol Forest inn, Curtis MI.

South Hobart, odd as it may seem , is not exactly just below North Hobart. Hobart when it was settled as a convict station had some strange street alignments. If you wish to travel from North Hobart to South Hobart you firstly come to the CBD itself, then you take a right hand turn to South Hobart. Due to our geography, there is a large hill that separates North Hobart and the CBD, from South Hobart, so that it is somewhat west of "just below North Hobart ". True it is that the latitude of South Hobart is below that of North Hobart. I hope this helps you. All the best, Syd.
